Overview
Phafana is the latest offering from Botswana Breweries Limited. Phafana is derived from the recipe for traditional home brew, so therefore has cultural resonance with Batswana. We were involved in naming the product, identity and package design.
Challenge
The brand enters a market that has been dominated for a very long time, by one established brand. It needed to find its own voice in the market.
Solution
We developed an integrated campaign, with a distinct look and feel and rolled out through various touch points – press, radio and below the line.
